I've checked out the "Materials" page, and read through the introductory information. We are starting with five chapters in week one: lots of information to get through this week.
Read Chapter 2, “XHTML Basics”, in Web Development & Design Foundations with XHTML.
Read Chapter 10, “Web Site Development”, in Web Development & Design Foundations with XHTML.
Read Chapter 1, “Understanding the Web Design Environment”, in Principles of Web Design.
Read Chapter 3, “Planning the Site”, in Principles of Web Design.
Read Chapter 4, “Planning Site Navigation”, in Principles of Web Design.
NEW STUDY AID: I'm using Google Docs to keep track of notes. I like being able to move from the book in one tab to notes in another with just a couple of strokes.
One feature I miss from MS Word is the "match destination" formatting choice. Means I have to re-format everything I paste.
Adobe doesn't keep formatting true to what is in the book; it chops it a bit when pasting. This is true for Word and Docs. I wish students were allowed at least one formattable copy of the book to work with; oh,well.
