Mama is Birthing

I just finished this completely boring site: white background, basic black letters, with 3 absolute links and two relative links.  Absolute links are used when you link other web sites to yours, while relative links "bind" pages of yours together. Which will  lead to navigation lessons; I love good naviagation!

I don't even have it posted to a server, cuz it's a practice site that you build as you go along in the book. But I'm so excited, since I've just used automated web page designs.  Which are way easier and super cool, sin duda.  Doing this is like re-inventing the wheel, a process I wouldn't want to do when trying to create something with lots of bells and whistles on a client's deadline.

What I find exciting is the understanding what is going  on under the drop and drag sites I've done.  I've also played around with making customizations in small ways.  Because I don't know the fundamentals, I'm afraid that changing the code too much will mess everything up.  So I'm having fun fiddling with those little things I take for granted, like drop down menus and point and clicks to change something like heading sizes and alignments.

I'm saving each version, like a proud parent snapping pictures as the baby crowns.
