In a perfect world, a web site designed using universal standards would provide the same experience to all users. As we learned this isn't always the case.

Week 4 Feedback:  For week 4 we had some good discussions about the best practices of usability.  Hopefully you were able to take away some good information from the article and discussions. We also talked briefly about accessible web sites and ADA Section 508 compliance. As we learned, even though it is not always mandatory, it is a good practice to make web sites accessible for everyone. I appreciate your hard work this week. We're almost done!

Discussion Question 2 Comment: SEO seems to be changing all the time but as we learned there are several things we can do as web designers to increase search engine rankings. For DQ #2 you discussed some excellent ways to increase the search engine rankings of a web site. Good job.

Week 3 Feedback:  This week we had some good descriptions of the different formats used for graphics. We learned that when designing a web site it is important to balance file size with the quality of the graphic. We also learned that some formats are different than others in terms of archival quality and compression. We also talked about some of the ways to increase the search engine rankings for a web site. Hopefully everything is going well for you.

Week 2 Discussion Question #1 Comment: You did a great job with your response to DQ #1 this week. Your glossary of ten basic web design terms was well thought out and defined.

Comment: In DQ #2, you discussed the advantages and disadvantages of using a web authoring application, and HTML editor, and a text editor. As we learned in class, the choice of which tool to use depends mostly upon personal preference. There were some interesting and differing opinions on which tool is a better
choice over another. Nice job.

Week 2 Feedback:  I know there is a lot of information to take-in in a short amount of time. This week we identified and defined some the some different and interesting terminology related to web design. We also talked about some advantages and disadvantages of some different web design and development tools. Overall you did a very good job and, once again, I hope you had some good take-aways for the week.

Week 1 Comment: You did a great job with your response to DQ #1. As we learned, there are many reasons why a website should be redesigned. We also learned that it is always important to consider flexibility and scalability when designing a web site.  Good job.

Discussion Question 2 Comment:  Your response to DQ#2 was very good. You did a great job explaining the three factors that need to be considered for building trust within a company's target audience. As we learned, it is important to keep the target audience in mind when designing a web site. Excellent work.
